Sept 3 Monday rainy
I was caught in the rain, though I held an umbrella. My umbrella, which is very beautiful, accompanies me every day, whether it’s sunny or rainy. It’s really one of my best friends. On a sunny day, my umbrella always keeps the sunshine out. But sometimes this friend is not so friendly, especially on a rainy day, when it rains very heavily. It is common that when it rains cats and dogs, there is also a light rainfall inside the umbrella.
This afternoon when the clouds were gathering, I came out of our library building. I had thought I could come back home before the rain. But as I had to mend my shoe and buy some food for my supper first, I couldn’t make it. On my way home it rained very hard. As I had mentioned above, though I held an umbrella, the rain kept running through the top of the umbrella. In other words, I was caught in the rain. When I at last got back home, I was wet, well, though not to the skin, my clothes were wet here and there.
Though caught in the rain, I was happy, because it’s a god-given experience, and I could enjoy the rain to the top of my bent.
